The Man Who Came Back

After four years of bloody Civil War, and a dozen years of “Reconstruction,” the American South remains a land of violent inequality. When former slaves go on strike against Judge Duke’s (Academy Award Winner George Kennedy) plantation, all hell breaks loose. Judge Duke has the law, Amos (Armand Assante) and Ezra (Billy Zane) in his pocket but Reese Paxton (Eric Braeden), a white landowner, takes the side of the slaves, starting a chain of events that leaves many dead and no one unchanged.
